How to install Windows 7

Well in this post I like to share something basic, how to install windows 7 to your desktop or laptop pc.
For first time i use windows 7, it is so amazing that I fall in love with it. Gross huh?. But it is the best windows ever made.

Well you better be ready with all the requirements needed if u really want do install 7.
Based on my experience, you should have:

• A PC of course( I will tell u the minimum spec later)
• Driver softwares
• Applications software
• Windows 7 CD( Any version will do. Please obtain Original okay?)

Before we start, Windows 7 does not support upgrade directly from windows XP but upgradable directly from Vista (suck).
Minimum PC Spec:

• 1.5gb of Ram
• at least 40gb hdd( windows 7 only use about 10\6gb only!) 
• at least 128mb graphics(not support aero desktop)
• processor of 1.5ghz or better

Lets start! Ok firstly for custom Installation.


You must first do clean installation, means you must clean everything in you hdd. I recommend you backup all of your important documents to external or etc before formatting.

• Insert windows 7 disc to disk drive
• At first boot windows press f8 and select boot from cd/dvd drive
• Or you can setup this by entering BIOS by pressing Del keys or depends on what keys ur BIOS using to enter
• move the CD/DVD drive ahead of the hard drive in the boot order
• After that, it should say something like this "Press any key to continue". So press anything. Let it loading its file.

• Select your language preferences, then click Install Now.
• Accept the Windows license agreement and choose to do a Custom install.
• Select the system partition you want to install to. (If you’re installing onto a new drive, you may need to create a partition by pressing the New button). 
• If you’re installing over an old partition,you should format it before you install 7.  
• WARNING: Formatting removes all data from a drive, so make sure you’ve backed up everything. This is the point of no return. That’s all Windows 7 needs to know, so wait the process until finish.
• Once the install is complete, enter user name and computer name, setting date and time, and enter the serial key and you are ready.

Simple right?. The same process goes for upgrade installation except for formatting partition. So what do you need to after this?.

• Installing Driver (audio, video, lan etc)
• Installing application software (office, browser, antivirus, etc)
• Updating windows
• Managing startups and UAC (will be discussed later)
• Customizing desktop (Well this one you can do this your way)
